We strive to provide wholesome family entertainment alongside the activities and events of the county fair. Showcasing our youth, our community, and project entries from every corner of the county.

Founder's Day Luncheon

Fun at the Founder's Day luncheon, hosted by the Maybell Women's Club, kicking off the 100th year Fair!

Ranch Horse Versatility Show

Sunday, August 5th 8:00am registration.
Open to all ages. Pre-registration before August 1st.

Vintage Pattern Contest

 Sewing, Crocheting, and Knitting - Bring your vintage garments dated between 1918 and 2018 or make a garment from a vintage pattern. All entries will be entered in Open class Tuesday night 5-8pm and Wednesday morning 8 - 11am.  Judging starts at noon.

This contest will be open to any dog and handler, adult or youth.

100 Year Fair Parade

Join us Friday August 3rd Parade starts at 12:00pm
Down Yampa, turning on Victory Way and ending at the Centennial Mall. (Line up starts at 10:30am)

Enjoy the 100 quilts for 100 years of the Moffat County Fair.
Exhibits will be throught Craig and you can enter your quilts by

Special Contests:
The following contests are open to MOFFAT COUNTY RESIDENTS ONLY - with the exception of the
Recreational Agility Demo.

Class #         Description
O806             Wheel Barrow/Container Garden Contest

1. Plant or arrange your flower, herb, vegetable or mixed garden in a wheelbarrow or movable
container (kids wagon, barrel, etc.) and enter it in the fair!
2. Vegetables and flowers will be judged in the wheelbarrow/container at fair.
3. Standard Moffat County rules will apply for judging criteria.

Class #         Description
O807             Vegetable Critters Contest
Animal made from fresh fruit, vegetables, seeds, nuts, grasses, etc. Judging will be based on
imagination and creativity. Include a 3" x 5" index card with explanation of entry.

Class #         Description
O808             Most Unique “Canned” Entry
Can up something unique in a standard canning jar and uniquely label it. What can you CAN?

Class #          Description
O809             Best Dressed Rock Contest
Dress up your favorite pet rock and bring it to the fair.
Unadorned rocks must weigh at least 2 ounces but not more
than 3 pounds. Fair goers will vote on their favorite ‘pet’ on
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. They will be looking for
originality, best use of natural rock shape, texture, and creativity—for the most outstanding costume.
The winner will be announced Saturday afternoon. One winner will be
awarded an adult ticket to the Craig Community Concert
2016-2017 series. Contest open to all Moffat County
residents. Sponsored by Craig Community Concert
